Maybe."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>(now with pictures)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Caddo Lake is a pretty cool park.&nbsp; The site that Mrs Milddogs picked for night #2 was great. It was so cool backing onto the bayou, even if it lacked gators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We had some rain in the night but nothing that woke us up.&nbsp; We had discussed an earlier than usual for us departure so we could make a few stops and get to Sky Rim &#8211; oops, Sea Rim earlier in the day to enjoy warm beach weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the walk I stuck to the roads due to the overnight rain and the morning light drizzle.&nbsp; I did not want another falling down episode.&nbsp; Not the Michael Douglas kind, just the kind where you slip and twist mid air like a cat to limit damage.&nbsp; Good thing I am so lithe!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was a good survey of the park. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" data-id=\"1749\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2174.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1749\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2174-scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2174-scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2174-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2174-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C1152&amp;ssl=1 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Lake Caddo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On exit, on time, we stopped at the dump station.&nbsp; We were second in line and the people in front of us were just filling their water tank with the black tank rinsing hose.&nbsp; Good on them, I guess.&nbsp; Oddly, they were in the site we had the night before and it had water at the site.&nbsp; Why take the good stuff when you can use the poop covered rinse hose??<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I thing that was our third time dumping our small tanks on this trip.&nbsp; So far, so good.&nbsp; All the waste in the right spots.&nbsp; Mrs Milddogs swears that one day, likely never, she will try the dump procedures. &nbsp; We are still not the ones covered in feces! &nbsp; At the end of this cleansing, I hooked up the aforementioned black tank flush hose and gave a good rinse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The drive was fine. Sad face.  We bypassed Beaumont cause the GPS told us to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rest of the drive in to Sky Rim, crap, Sea Rim is like driving through Sarnia, ON\u2019s chemical valley about 20 times in a row as you pass through Prt Albert, TX and area.\u00a0 Oh how those smells brought back memories. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sea Rim (yay!) is a nice little state park on the ocean.&nbsp; It is hard to get into so we are just here the one night.&nbsp; There is a couple from Ontario behind us and one from Quebec a few ahead of us.&nbsp; Cell coverage is not stellar!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We got checked in and parked.\u00a0 Mrs Milddogs then headed for the beach with her Crawfish in hand.\u00a0 She set up her picnic while Amy and I got ready to meet her on the beach.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2185.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1748\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2185-scaled.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2185-scaled.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2185-scaled.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/milddogs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/img_2185-scaled.jpg?resize=1536%2C1152&amp;ssl=1 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Crawfish on the beach, it&#8217;s really f&#8217;ing beautiful<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Post feast part 1, we wandered around on the beach and lamented not having put on sunscreen.\u00a0 I am sure we will not be as red as that guy over there. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sea Rim (twice in a row) is famous for the beach, the views, various types of living things (no gators yet) including mosquitos.&nbsp; Slowly making our way through that winter coat.&nbsp; All fur collected and in the garbage.&nbsp; I have an aunt that made a hat out of the fur trimmed from her (at the time) Old English Sheepdog.&nbsp; That dog, Penelope Pushkin, was a great dog.&nbsp; She came to live with us when I was in high school and we had much fun together. &nbsp; As per my aunt, she was to formally referred to as \u201cPenelope Pushkin, doggity woggity, shake a tail,&nbsp; bow wow, woof\u201d.&nbsp; I think I got that right.
