We had a lovely night sleep in our semi secret little parking lot in Levi. Turns out those other RVs were uninhabited so we decided some local people just park them there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had a lovely walk along the Chemin De Fleuve up to a beautiful park called Parc de la Pointe Benson (and now I have revealed more about our semi-secret location). There is a rich history to this area. I don\u2019t know what it is as the signs are all newer and that means pas de anglais. The pictures indicated some archeological digs. Beautiful spot along the river. But, it was cold and windy. 13C on the old internet thermometer so I went out in shorts and a T-shirt. My general rule is that anything below 12C requires more than a T-shirt. The cut off (ha ha) for shorts is -2C. But the wind made it feel much colder than 13C. Fortunately I had the wind at my back as I returned to the van. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were slow to get ready and departed around 09:49. We had a shorter drive today and, well, we are relearning that \u201cyou move here, I\u2019ll go there and then we can reverse\u201d dance we have to do to get something out of the fridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme for today\u2019s drive was scenic and full of stops. We mostly took the 132 along the coast rather than the 4 lane Highway 20. After a few hours our average speed was 63 kmph but our fuel economy was great! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total we stopped at 2 Fromageries, 2 Boulangeries , 1 Pescerie, 1 gas station and 3 scenic vista spots. Let us not speak of my obsession with the Boulangeries! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fun fact. My bed, which also serves duty as a dining room chair and a couch may have a significant quantity of crumbs in it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We decided to stay at Pointe au Pere in Rimouski for the night. There are a number of federal (yes, in this case Canadian) museums at this site and we are permitted to park for up to 24 hours. It\u2019s pretty blustery here at the shore so we have parked into the wind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One pof the museums is an actual submarine. I might take the sub tour in the morning. there is no dam tour here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner consisted of a sandwich made on today\u2019s baguette (not the best baguette) featuring a tomato from our garden. We had stopped at a local restaurant to get some fish and chips but despite the internet\u2019s insistence to the contrary, the restaurant was closed for the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are hoping to not freeze tonight. We will run the furnace a bit as the temperature is supposed to dip to about 7C. As Ted always says: \u201cmore layers, less covers!\u201d. Never doubt the Ted. The question is, did I pack the layers, or even the covers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I keep staring at the river hoping to see some cetaceans. Might be an exercise in futility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow we turn south and cross into a different time zone and a different province. On paper (or GPS app) it should be a short drive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holy shit! I paid $199.9 \/ litre for regular gasoline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
