By now you know the drill. Get up, walk, eat. This morning was far less windy than yesterday but a wee bit colder on the dry bulb. I walked further up the road past the bridge over the Shinimicas river. Only significant wildlife adjacent thing I saw was this poor moose who had obviously had a rough night and could not make it home in his stroller. I tried to wake him up but he was still out of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I decided to fly my drone around to get some shots. This proved to be a mildly frustrating activity. My drone is a Hover Air ProMax with the fancy controller. Problems included; failure to connect with controller. Failure to engage \u201cOmniTerrain\u201d. Failure to avoid obstacles going forward. Failure to terminate a flight. I did get some shots and will post them. We attempted our instagram\/youtube style flights towards us in a scenic location but Mrs Milddogs pretty much gave up after 5 minutes of me fucking around with the uncooperative drone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday BIL told a story from their recent trip to England and other nearby places. They were standing on the white cliffs of Dover and a Spitfire flew overhead. That must have been an amazing experience. Obviously the context today is vastly different to the days when huge quantities of Spitfires would have flown over the area during WWII. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did get out on the Brompton for another ride. I pretty much limit myself to the section of highway that has the 50kmph speed limit. Less wind was nice. I shot some 360 video of the ride but my phone is full so I\u2019ll process it later. Need bigger phone storage!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs Milddogs had a lovely self made lobster roll for lunch with here left over lobster. Thanks again to BIL for that lobster treat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After even more gardening we all went down to the beach for a low tide beach walk. All of us except Amy. She took a few steps onto the sand and immediately turned around. I walked her back up to her security van and she stayed cozy and secure while we explored the beach and \/ or messed around with the aforementioned drone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At one point I had the drone doing a spiral thing flight pattern. It failed to terminate the flight and just hovered for about 4 minutes slightly out of reach. Eventually I got it into manual mode and forced it to come down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With minimal battery left, I had it follow me until it alerted it was out of battery. It would not land. I ended up jumping up and grabbing it out of the air. Sadly no video of that demonstration of superior athleticism! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For dinner tonight we planned to get takeout from The Sandpiper in Port Howe, NS. We have been going to the Sandpiper in various incarnations for 35 years. The chocolate milkshakes were something we would dream about for months after returning home. The fish and chips are pretty darn good too. Today the milkshakes were not as good as last year. It seems like they may have changed ice cream suppliers (speculation on my part). Still good, but not good enough to be dreamt about. Milkshake plus Fish and Chips is still far too much food. I felt as stuffed as the moose. Where is my stroller?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019d like to find a Brompton friendly bike path to get a longer bike ride in. Mrs Milddogs was plotting a course that lined up 3 different Frenchys and allowed me to ride bicycle paths between them. Not sure that one will come true. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
